Insurance
Extended health care plans or employment assistance programs (EAP) may cover part or all of the counselling fees. It is the client's responsibility to enquire about coverage from his/her insurance provider before we begin sessions. You are responsible for paying the fee at the end of each session, I will provide you with a receipt with my registration number and credentials, which you may submit to your insurance company or use for income tax purposes. Healthy Directions does not deal directly with insurance companies.
Cancellation Policy
If it is necessary for you to cancel an appointment, please do so 48 hours prior to your scheduled session. Appointments missed or cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged $75.00. Exceptions to this include a death of someone you know or hospitalization. All other will be charged. Sessions can be moved to Online to accommodate in-person attendance. This policy is found on the Healthy Directions Policy and Consent form. This policy will be discussed at 1st session and you will be asked to provide your consent and understanding by initialing and signing the document.
Policies and Consent Guide
All new clients are required to read the Healthy Directions Policies and Consent document before your first session. The contents of this document will be reviewed with you at the beginning of your 1st session to give you an opportunity to ask any questions related to my fees, treatment approaches, cancellation policy and limitation to confidentiality and other content.
I am happy to clarify and spend time helping you have a clear understanding of my services and processes before we start the counselling experience. There are certainly no silly questions. All questions are honored.
